This third entry in the series gives you a well-rounded selection of tricks here. My problem with
the first volumes was how similar a lot of the tricks were because of the same moves used, which
meant you might be able to use 3 tricks off each DVD at a time rather than use them all. This time
out, John gives you about two tricks per move, but more moves, meaning you ultimately can use most
of these effects in the same show and not give anything away.
Two of my favorite Bannon
tricks are here: Origami Poker, and Poker Pairadox. But "32nd Sense" became a highlight for me the
first time I watched it. John goes into great detail on each trick's "moves", which aren't hard but
they are extremely deceptive this time out. And while everything is technically "self-working", that
doesn't mean you get to just mentally check-out and let the magic happen. You'll have to stay alert
to make these work, but the "wow factor" is way more than the difficulty level involved.
I
would have to say that this is my favorite volume of the set so far.
