Yes, you heard that correct, the dots mysteriously turn into clear glossy black dots on a flat black
background. Unfortunately when the light hits the shiny plastic the dots still look like white. Ha
ha, not quite the B.A. principle we are looking for here ;-)
I performed this many years
ago and loved it for a children’s show effect. The manufacturer of this product version, Mr. Magic,
missed the cool vanish effect by using a glossy plastic. Again, as mentioned, the dots are clear
glossy the negative ground is flat black.
Penguin will graciously take the product back
for a store refund however the customer has to pay the return shipping. I decided to simply keep
it and remake it.
I love Penguin Magic. I’ve purchased tons of props and items from them
and this is the first product not up to par, so seriously not a bad average at all!
