Good solid trick with no gimmicks really and one super easy sleight (as in super super easy).
Nothing to "make" just a few things to get which will cost maybe a few bucks at most so yeah, great
mind reading trick. My ONLY negative is how loooooong these tutorials are becoming for something
that literally you can do about five minutes after you know the secret. 43 minutes of video, took
about 25 minutes to get to the reveal with multiple repeats of each steps and explanation which was
too much in my opinion. I like the quick 15 minute video's, that's just me. That's the ONLY reason
I gave four stars, if it had gotten to the meat and got me working quicker five stars. I'd buy this
trick again, just giving my opinion for "get to the point" video's.
What few things need to be purchased?
Asking what few things need to be purchased is the same thing as asking for the secret, what is needed to perform the trick, along with any sleights is quite literally the information you are paying for when purchasing a trick
While I haven't seen the video, I certainly would rather have too much material from the creator than too little. Granted, some people (like me) can be long-winded, but a long instructional video is a pretty good "problem" for an effect to have.
Simply, the requirements are some envelopes. Only the 2 envelopes are in play (smaller envelope housed inside a larger one, as with a standard ‘two envelope test’
OMG, Mitchvitch, you've totally blown the secret! Now no one needs to get this.
Actually, thank you for your answer. I hate magic downloads that are appealing and reasonably priced, but once you get them, you find you have to buy $30 of materials (if you can find them) and spend 2 hrs making a gimmick (if you can get it right). Based on your reassuring answer, I will purchase this.
How is this for a complete beginner ? While I like the premise of a drawing duplication, I have no experience whatsoever with this type of thing....thanks.
The video cuts a portion of the handling out. This is typical and sometimes necessary. My question is, if anyone feels as if it is appropriate to answer it, is does the spectator put the card they drew on into the smaller envelope themselves? Or does the performer handle the card prior to putting it into the envelope? Thanks, Kevin
