The advert is very clear about what this is. There are no surprises withe the product. The die are
slightly bigger than most board game die but not too large so as to draw speculative attention.
My red one did get a slight chip and so I have been using a close up mat with these die to
offer a softer surface. The die themselves are not rechargeable nor do they have removeable
batteries and will eventually need to be replaced completely.
They have been a great
addition to my repertoire.
So, the dices need to be replaced? There is no info in the advertisement or description about this. Can someone in Penguin can clarify this? Thanks
Can you explain about why the dices need to be replaced?
In the description was mentioned that the dices are a rechargeable batteries , and you are saying disposables dices , i think that this review is wrongly drafted . Its can’t be disposable for this price.
The dice are meant to last a couple years, the card box receiver is rechargeable. I've had no issue with mine. They are extremely well crafted, the manufacture will replace when batteries run out, for a cheaper price.
Did you buy it here? i've been waiting for 2 months its still not available here.Which other place can i buy it?
Bought mine eleswhere, got tired of waiting. No regrets one of my favorites to perform.
So the dices could be opened up to remove the regular batteries, or you need to always buy new dices?
I had purchached this product about 3 mounth ago and still waiting for it to get it, they don’t provide us a good description about how the dices got their power in order to remote control for the reciever.
You are unable to open the die, they look Perfectly normal.
Ok then, if the dices are electronics and its work with power , and let us say that the power are a build in batteries , and one days they are dead and doesn’t work , then you need to exchange the whole dices for new one , and you can’t instant recharge them because they are not rechargeable , and the dices can’t be opened because it’s a disposable dices, right!? That what you’re trying to explaine!?!?
Basically yes....but what i was told the manufacturer will EXCHANGE THEM OUT WHEN THEY RUN DRY At a lower price.
So...what do you do if power runs out after a year and the manufacturer stops making them? There is no guarantee that they won't become a discontinued product by then. Hard to believe you can't change batteries or recharge them yourself. Sounds like a scam to me, if that is true.
THat is the case. You cannot change the batteries on any of the Dice and cannot recharge them either. They will need to be replaced. The problem arises if the seller stops making them or goes out of business. Then you will not be able to perform this anymore. So basically, you are paying $425.00 for a trick you can use for a couple of years and if you can not buy or exchange the dice, then that is it.
Hi, is there a way where one can only use one die at a time and perhaps save the battery of the others?
Thanks all for your comments. I had no idea when I purchased mine that the dice had no way of being opened and batteries changed. Yes not a great look and for me a total bust up. I have had issues before...not with Penguin but another and it looks as if from now on you have to ask the stupid questions just to get simple answer. This is pure crap from the manufacturer and everyone is right to be upset. Yes it is not uncommon for a seller to go out of business. Bad trust issues with Marc-Antoine if he doesn't get his XXXX together and figure a way out. I purchased from another magic dealer and now will have to get back and find out how this can be fixed. Thanks to all of you for detailing this for me and all others interested in electronic magic. Well done all. Oh and by the way ...yes there are surprises with this product and the advert is NOT clear about it.
Thanks to all you folks for clarifying the situation with the dice. I almost clicked buy but am glad I did read the reviews and these comments. Not sure it makes sense to spend 4 and quarter on something that cannot be recharged, though the bigger problem is the lack of clarity and upfrontness in the advertising. If people have to buy the dice again, tell us that and also tell us how much that would cost so we can make better informed decisions.
I used misled for a few years then it broke and could not find a new one. However something like 15/20 years later it is being put out again. If you have to wait like I did for misled and then pay a whole lot more for the gimmick like misled it isn’t worth it.
Don’t buy it you’ll regret it.
I just have received its , and everything works great , the dices has built in battery that activated with a secret device, the issue is when the battery will die , you need to give the dices back to the creator that he will replace it for a new dices , and you need to pay again for the products, the dices looks regular and no opening or lid to open them , absolutely regular , and nothing suspicious. When you will receive the package there is no a link explanation provided. The link will be given from this site after showing them your order number, you'll get a link for vimeo.com site that you could watch how it works, about 8 minutes and no routines provided you need to have your own idea , and actually I have some great idea and no need for an ideas anyway.
You could be using all the 3 dices if you want , and you could be using only one of them or two of them . You need to activate any dice you wishes. So you could use only one until it dies , a secret device that provided uses to activated the battery dice and deactivated the dice , so you could activated 1 or 2 or 3 dices as you wish.but after using the dice you need to remember to deactivate the dice , so the battery will last longer.
Thank's to all..you saved me a lot of bucks here. I've been on the fence for quite some time over this one. After reading the reviews and summarizing all the input this is just too restrictive and conditional to spend that kind of money on. Too bad, it's a very cool trick...Peace
