Honestly, I bought the set to learn the Something Nothing Yours Mine Sex envelope bit. And the
routine is well worth more than the price of this DVD. There are instructions for DIY, and John
gives a magical source for the envelopes as well.
The really pleasant surprise is how many
other real gems are present here. A quick and funny version of the “off by one” bit. A simple
force of a single card and a practically invisible deck switch. A crazy strong ESP trick where the
spectator always deals to the card you say. A book test where it actually makes sense to use a
book!
My favorite could be compared to a”Do As I Do”, where both performer and spectator
shuffle (not cut, SHUFFLE) their decks, swap the top cards and they match, three times! The last
time the whole deck is swapped. No stacks, peeks or key cards. I'm putting this one to use right
away!
If only as a study in creativity, comedy and magical history, this DVD will make you
happy. The magic taught here is very good, some of the cleverest thinking I've seen.
