I love Garrett Thomas. I love his artistic thinking, and I love his variations on effects I already
do. His performances have an internal logic that makes the audience easily suspend their disbelief.
I had the pleasure of seeing him lecture, and he performed banded. To me it looked like magic. And
it is, with one caveat; YOU WILL NEED TO PRACTICE. The necessary props required to make this work
are simply that, the props. They are beautifully made, but will in no way do the work for you if
you don't put in the time. You will need a lot of repetitions to make this beautiful. But that's
the best part. It's not only fun to watch, but it's fun to practice. Because this is performed at
chest level you could perform this piece for 5 people, or 500. Garrett, you're the man. Please
stop sharing your magic. I want it all to myself.
