This is a surprisingly great video! Penguin offered it free in a newsletter, and I was first
hesitant to look into a beginners' stuff. I'm glad I did!
When I read these tricks in a book, I
thought they were silly and they couldn't fool anybody. Oz shows how to perform them entertainingly
and miraculously. I immediately added half of them to my list for impromptu situations.
If you
are a beginner, I certainly recommend this video. Almost 3 hours of good material, and Oz is not
only a great performer, but an excellent teacher, too. And even if you are on a more advanced level
and think that you need at least a one-handed Ascanio spread or stuff like that in every trick, you
may learn two or three things about presentation.
I have one remark, though. I wouldn't tell
that the coin will go through the table, if it won't. I would prefer something like "Have you ever
seen solid passing through solid?", only implying the coin.
