First, this is a high quality hard covered book, with many photograph illustrations.
What is most important to anybody who purchases any book is the quality of the contents. Of course, this varies with each individual, and the type of magic they perform. Etienne is primarily a close up magician, who shares his highly commercial material which "kills" in the real world for the real people who matter, the layman.
In close up magic there is a recent consideration, do the tricks require a table?, Can I perform strolling with no table?
You will receive a mix of effects, some requiring a table, but no elaborate table displays. Some effects can be modified to eliminate the need of a table.
I am currently working on two effects, which may find their way into my repertoire.Frankly, that is a lot considering my working repertoire needs little to improve its overall impact on the lay public.
Do not overlook Do You Feel Lucky,AKA,Card Under Pen...although it is hard to imagine how this would work, through the printed page, it does.Fortunately I have seen this before on video and have already played with it in live performances. BTW, this is not among the two effects I am currently working on.If you need further evidence of the genius of Mr. Pradier, invest in some video to see how his material plays, you will not be disappointed.
