I bought this at fantasm magic. Just before magic live. Paid full price. But didn’t realize that the
screen had an oil stain on it. I read others had this issue on another well known magic forum.
When I mentioned this to the demonstrator at Fantasm who was present at the sell he said to
contact the manufacturer. I try to support brick and mortar as much as possible, but what a bummer
shoulda went with penguin on such an expensive prop.
For the price the oil stain (now a good
portion of the screen) should not have been an issue at the shop or on the web. I was hopping this
would work like a thought transmitter wallet from the old days. It doesn’t.
I feel there are
other peek methods that are better in performance and won’t be dated as soon, i.e. pads of paper on
the market.
Also this came with a list of ideas, which I suppose are additional gimmicks I need
to purchase and that the one routine that was provided was hella weak, and subtleties were completely
ignored. I feel that there should have been so much more included in regards to instruction. Even
with just the contacts routine included just getting the spectators to put the prediction in
correctly wasn’t covered well enough.
If Mark mason and his co creators replace my oil stained
screen unit I may give it three stars as a middle of the road effect but hundred bucks is an
expensive trip down the middle of the road for now I am less than satisfied with my ticket to ride.
