I was able to get an advanced copy of Smooth from MAGIC Live and absolutely love it! I have been
blowing people away with this. Nicholas has done it again, he never fails to amaze me with the way
he thinks of every last detail!
Is there much sleight if hand to perform this?
Also - Is there a lot of preparation?
Thanks very much.

ehrinn1, why do you make that assumption?
Just by looking it seems as if it would be easier then the last one i got with the sharpie going thru the bill. Cuz the tip side is long and with this the cap is small. But who knows.it is a top seller and it's not even out yet. This will be sold out quick.esp if this guy said he already bought one at magic live !
Matthew David Stanley is a close friend of mine. He actually used this for his Trick of the Week video on YouTube and credited Nicholas in the video. Watching the performance, you know there's probably a standard cleanup move on the underside of the bill. Look at it. It can't be that much of a knuckle buster. The gimmick is easy to carry and from the size of it, you can see it is clearly less pocket space than traditional penetration gimmicks.

Here is the video link for ehrinn1. Since you know he doesn’t have the trick, perhaps you can explain to all of us how he performed this five days ago. Looking forward to your response.

Creeper!!!! Wow kinda spooky dude!!
If the top slides in, now then can folks examine it right after. You’re probably right, it’s the only explanation.
I think for a magician it's quite apparent the tip push's in with an extra tip for the reveal on the other side. This means the chap-stick is not examinable, at least the pen is at the end. I can't imagine someone not wanting to look at the chap-stick. If you pass the bill out to be examined why not the chap-stick too? Personally I would not use this for free even, the pen is cleaner IMHO.
In the ad this statement is made:
Here's what it looks like: You see a chapstick melt through a dollar. You see it melt back out. And then you can examine everything... and finally your brain melts. I mean.. what do you say after seeing something like that??
Examine everything? Really? Unless it locks I don't see how they can say this, maybe it does... doesn't matter, just don't like the whole premise...
@themagicray, did you watch the video? He passes both the dollar and the chapstick to the spectator.
@davidpjones2000, why do you "know" that he doesn't have the gimmick? They have been available at Magic Live.
I agree and know he DOES have it! That’s why I posted the link. Please re-read... I was responding to erhinn1.
This trick must have a well made gimmick of course. I just wish there was a better clean up to pass everything out. It's got me thinking about one of my other favorite tricks "Pointless" (easier clean up), and digging that back out for some 'casual magic'.
Thanks Lobert,
Teach me not to watch till the end, I ended it seconds before that, shame on me but that answers a lot. Thx. (still like the pen better :) )
The video shows him handing out both the dollar bill and the chapstick. I think that while the dollar is being inspected, he switches out the gimmicked chapstick for a real one and then presents that for inspection.
and lastly omz40 grammar isn\'t your forte. I\'ve read reviews the gimmick sounds a bit finicky I\'m on the fence because of the amount of reviews mentioning it. I like the concept of using chapstick instead of a pen, wand or other object and it appears to be very visual. I\'d grab this for sure if there\'s a solution to the rough mechanism that\'s been reported and it might be a id10t error from newbs for all I know. \r\n
