Love this effect. I keep the gaffed card in the deck or easily add it later and force the card. Additionally, I use a queen and a very fine .004 razor blade to cut the card and with a couple of colored markers on the edge, the gimmick is virtually invisible. Try it with different color backs as I have found many colors that work very well.
