I purchased the Epic Writer and was impressed with the fact you could write in pen. However after
receiving the gimmick and putting the enclosed pen in position, it didn't stick out far enough to
write. I tried numerous time to try to get it to work and even placed a bit of plastic as a shim as
the video suggest. But after all the fooling around, the cap holding the pen in place broke off. So
now I have to figure out how to get the pen to, 1. extend a tad farther to get it to work, and 2
keep it in place.
Any suggestions would be welcome. Don't know if I am the only one that
has had this problem.
Hello... I'm sorry to hear this. We have adjusted the length of the gimmick and happy to send you another one complimentary - Just let us know your address via our live chat on magicworld.co.uk? It would have been nice to have had the chance to fix this before the negative review was left :). - please then use and consider changing the review from 1 star! :). The only way the metal top breaks off is by repeatedly opening and closing. The little piece of plastic method to wedge it down usually works perfectly and as long as you seal the unit when not using with scotch tape it should write perfectly 6 months later and you should get around 600 words with the tiny nib so essentially only replace the nib every 6-8 months and you can replace this about 4 times before the end will break. I have honestly tried all writers and this is the only one that I feel comfortable writing with due to the flat surface making the writing process easier. All the best, Anthony
