I had never heard of Mariano Goni before viewing this lecture, and I have to say I am not going to
forget his name any time soon. His stories about learning from Rene Lavand are magical, his respect
for the art is palpable, and his nuanced expertise in performing close-up and parlour magic is
phenomenal. Every piece of magic he performs is a true mystery--my two favorites being Nut Waltz and
the Breadcrumbs. I am very glad I didn't miss out on this lecture, and I look forward to seeing new
creations from Mariano in the future.
