First, let me say that Penguin Customer service is outstanding. They bent over backwards to make
things right.
As to the trick, its a great trick. However, I have to agree with Ryan. The
prop is very disappointing. Mine is significantly smaller than the purse. That, in and of itself,
is not a big deal because the spectator never sees them together. However, there are two other
significant problems. The texture and finish of the rock is completely different. The purse is
close to a mat finish and the rock is flat. Unless you are only doing this in a bar in low light it
will be obvious to anyone who is observant.
But the biggest problem, which apparently is
true for all of them, is that one one side there are spots of very shiny fingerprints. Again - VERY
obvious - and very disappointing.
So initially I reached out to Nathan. He dismissed all
of my concerns and said I could sand off the shiny spots with fingerprints. Really? I pay $30 for a
prop that is supposed to be ready to go and you want me to fix it?
So in all the years I
have been a Penguin Customer, I never returned anything until I received this one. I want to
support creators. But this was too disappointing. It's also disappointing that Nathan doesn't seem
to really care.
