So really the only reason I ordered this was because the product detail clearly states (yes, I
rechecked it) that over 50 effects are included. It makes elaborate details of all the tricks that
can be performed and clearly states in the bullet point that effects are included. The sad thing is
after eagerly awaiting the deck, I open to find no instructions and nothing in my Penguin downloads
area (the effects listed were the whole reason I got the deck). I thought maybe it was an
oversight, they forgot to put the book of instructions in, but upon talking to the customer service
agent, he began stating there are no effects included. I was pointing him to the details of the
effect when we were disconnected from chat, I'm going to assume because it hit 4:00 PST and not
because he cut me off and I'm not able to talk to anyone again until Monday now.
Anyway,
I'll have to wait till Monday to see if I can get a refund or things sorted out. If I had known I
would not have purchased and would have ordered elsewhere, a gaff deck that I know includes a ton of
effects and high reviews. So if you are considering getting this for the effects, be warned that at
least at this point I don't think you will be getting any. The deck is fine, but I just don't think
it should be clearly advertised as having the effects and then having none.
Be warned...
This is the exact description I read. Pay particular attention to the beginning that makes the claim that below listed effects are possible with this this deck.
(You are being warned here that you need to put in the work YOURSELF to get the possible outcomes that are meant as suggestions simply)
"With it, you can easily make the following happen:
Simplify
Take out a deck of cards or a few cards, and with only one wave, the deck or a few cards instantly turn into one card, clean and neat.
Combination
The magician places a King of Diamonds on the opposite side of the top of the 8 of Clubs, and slightly kneads them. The suits of the two cards become combined into one!
Prophecy of 7
The magician gently kneads a diamond on the 3 of Diamonds, and the number 7 appears on the Diamond. When the magician flips the card over on the table, the card has become the 7 of Diamonds!
Heart and Soul
The magician gently shakes the 2 of Hearts, and the two scattered hearts are instantly cuddled together. A great trick to show your beloved.
Melting Fire
The magician shows the audience the 8 of Spades and the 9 of Diamonds. After putting them back into the deck, they pick up one card and gently sway a lighter back and forth on the front of card. The 8 of Spades and 9 of Diamonds appear on the left and right sides of the card, and there are traces of flame burning in the center of the card!
Color Illusion
The magician takes out the 7 of Spades and blows smoke on it. The front of the card instantly becomes smoky, and even the colors become blurred.
Deficiency
The magician takes out the 5 of Diamonds, but how do you see the suit of the card, as the diamonds are blurred? Is this real? The magician waves the card, and the 5 of Diamonds becomes instantly clear. Was everything just an illusion?
Rotation
The Queen of Spades is spinning in the magician's hand, turning and turning until it suddenly changes. The face of card begins to slowly twist. Are we dizzy, or is the Queen dizzy?
Club Movement
This King of Clubs looks very ordinary. The magician holds the club on the corner and gently drags it. The Club is moved to the middle of the card!
Accumulation
The magician takes out a normal 9 of Spades, places it on the table and taps on it lightly. The spades on the card actually fall and pile up together!
King Wearing Cards
The magician takes the King of Spades, and after a gentle wave over a card that was on the table, he flips over two cards. The King's sword on the King of Spades has actually impaled the card, and the card on the table is the 5 of Hearts!
Declaration of Love
The magician takes out four cards -- the Ace of Hearts, the 2 of Hearts, the 3 of Hearts and the 4 of Hearts. They are placed on the deck, and magician snaps his fingers before flipping the cards over. The numbers on the four cards turn into letters L, O, V, E, with a little red romantic heart. Is it full of love?
Switch
The magician takes out three cards -- the Ace of Clubs, the 2 of Diamonds and the 3 of Spades -- and places the 2 of Diamonds on the table. With a flip and a click, the 2 of Diamonds on the table turns into the Ace of Clubs. The Ace of Clubs in the hand also turns into the 2 of Diamonds!
Straight Flush
The magician holds four different cards in the hand. After showing them to the audience, they are put together and gently swayed. After the cards are spread on the table, the four cards become a set of straight flushes from the 10 of Spades to the King of Spades!
Between Black and Red
Color conversion is a very common, classic trick in card magic. The magician turns the 10 of Spades into the 10 of Hearts on the top of deck. That is simple entry-level magic, but the magician waves another hand. The color of the flower has turned into a gradient of black and red. THIS makes it very novel indeed!
Prohibit Different
The 5 of Clubs wants to become the same as the 4 of Clubs. But what about the one extra Club? Just cross it out! The banned symbol of Clubs can bring a witty plot to your magic and enhance the interaction with the audience.
Queen Reading Mind
The degree of mobile phones in our lives is getting bigger and bigger, and so is magic using them. Take out the phone and scan the Queen of Spades. You can predict the card next to it: 7 of Hearts!
Lost 8 of Spades
A miniature card is completely filled with images of a full deck of cards. The magician shakes gently. The card is suddenly missing an 8 of Spades. Did it fall out? Flip over the card that is placed on the table -- it is the 8 of Spades!
Which Card Did You Choose?
Many magicians are suffering from the fact that the card magic has no obvious plot, and this Question Mark card can solve this problem! Which card did the magician change in the hand? A Question Mark card becomes the card selected by the audience. The card turned over on the table proves to be the same one in the hand!
Directly Hit the Soul
The most common ESP cards in mental magic take you into the heart of the audience and hits their soul directly!
Perfect K
When you need the audience to choose a card of K, you have to be prepared for it. If you can't get the card that the audience asks, that will be so awkward! K on different corners allows you to change the K that the audience chooses at any time!
Corner Mark Disappears
Do you think the corner mark is too eye-catching? Let it disappear! During the magician's wave, the corner of the Queen of Spades disappears!
In addition to the above-mentioned effects that we have come up with for you, this collection of gaffed cards comes with a lot of fun effects: Different orientations, geometric shapes with different shapes, with paw prints or lip prints, color changes, etc. These designs not only produce interesting magic to your effects, but also add some chic highlights to your magical routines!

USPCC quality"
I READ A RE-READ, NEVER HAS A DECK LIKE THIS COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS, SOMETIMES YOU CAN BUY A DVD TO HELP YOU CREATED BY AN ACCOMPLISHED CARD MAGICIAN, BUT IT CLEARLY STATES:
"More than 50 possible effects"
and just 2 lines below it clearly reads
"Instructions NOT included"
Did I miss something here?
Did they change the description after you purchased the deck, or did you read it, and then actually review it poorly whilst stating that you read somewhere in the description that these 50 or so effects were going to be taught to you with some sort of non existent instructions?? Did you really expect someone to take you by the hand and teach you over 50 effects using this deck? All for a mere $10.00? Or can't you read, you certainly seem articulate your disappointment well enough to have me believing you're at least able to read and write. So I'm wondering where your issue lies, with the cost? the deck? Or that your too inexperienced to come up with a few potentially great routines using a new gaffed deck, like we have all had to do in the past?
I, for one, missed my chance to get my hands on one of these, and now have to go searching elsewhere online for one. If you are unsatisfied, you can just leave me a message on here and I'll gladly buy your's off of you so you can get your money back, and I will be happy as shit with my new Rider-Back gaffed deck when it arrives giving me hours, wekks, and possibly even years of fun and constant enginuity to come up with new routines I can do with it. Be warned, I will remember you the entire time while I'm laughing at you on the inside. Wondering what possessed you to be so careless (aside from a possible, albeit strange sense of entitlement) as it would take for you to give up the first rider back deck of gaffed cards to be put out on the market for years!
