This is a very clear video oN a difficult effect; to its great credit, it does not skip over the
tricky parts as do some other videos that do not show the portion of a trick that spectators will
tumble to immediately.
The one-handed poker deal in itself is a good trick, but I think a
big part of the the value of this video is in showing how to learn to do the one-handed shuffle
itself. I learned it on my own from Card College -- the book, not the video -- and the only
difference is that I tend to not use my pinky to manipulate the top stack at all, I let gravity do
all the work. However, this is a very difficult move to learn and I wish I'd had this video at the
outset. Erik provides clear, concise instructions on this move and I recommend the video to anyone
interested in mastering it.
