I like Manos's thinking a lot and have used his V (Verbalist) and its update for a "which hand"
routine. For those of you who don't have that , he demonstrates the best variant here--and it's
really worth the price of the download. He also shows some subtleties on coin-flipping, use of i**
p***, pre****, and enhancing Phill Smith's already excellent commercial effect Stegosaurus. It's a
solid lecture, with the added bonus of PDF lecture notes.
That said, since Penguin has
changed to the "Live Act" format, I've noticed that we're getting less material. Manos teaches five
routines. All you have to do is take a look at one of the older downloads, and you'll see that a lot
of them are so much longer and have more material. In addition, I do miss the "gab session" at the
end of the show. Dan is a pleasant interviewer, and it's nice to hear from the performers
up-close-and-personal.
