I think this is a 5-star effect but with two caveats. First, this isn't impromptu; you have to be
ready with a certain something. This means, of course, that you also can't do this with a borrowed
deck unless you happen to be really lucky or had some foreknowledge of what you'd be given to work
with -- I can't really say more than that without giving part of the secret away. Second, will I
use this? I'll definitely try it out just to see what kinds of reactions it gets, but it probably
won't become a regular piece for me simply because I have one or two other transpositions that ARE
impromptu and, to me, are just as strong. But this is very nice and definitely worth the small
price for such a solid routine.
