the promo to sell this is NOT the way the trick is taught. the promo shows the trick 3 times, in the
first two, there is no slight shown, which is what intrigued me, the third time you see the slight
but much abbreviated from what is actually necessary, and how it is taught (look for jokers).
deceptive promo, not fair.
other than that, an OK trick if you have very engaging patter
that can keep spectators eyes away from your hands.
PENGUIN- you need some quality control
or what value do you bring? I've bought full acts from you where there are mistakes (4 of hearts vs
4 of diamonds, you know the one), that are not caught even in the follow up lessons. reshoot when
necessary, have pride in your product.
Wow, I'm really blown away with this review. I respect your review and opinion, so please don't misunderstand this reply. However, I feel I need to speak up here. (And this is simply my opinion too... just stating it, not trying to start anything.)
I LOVE this trick.
When I saw the trailer and then watched the actual product, I did NOT feel in ANY WAY misled. It's obvious that many trailers will cut out critical moves... after all, if exposed, magicians may figure it out and not buy the product. That said, I don't feel AT ALL that this demo was maliciously edited in any way.
This trick was great! To say it's "OK"... well, I do understand that... I mean, this isn't a super visual mind-blowing trick. But to me, it was a trick that will blow the mind of any lay person. Remember... THEY HANDLE THEIR OWN UNGIMMICKED DECK after the quick setup that is done RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM. To me, all of that is very impressive, not just to laymen, but also to many magicians.
Perhaps you are a very advanced magician (I am not). If that's the case, then yes, maybe this trick is just "OK"... but I believe that, for the general public, this is, hands down, a very good purchase.
I don't know what you expected to see in the promo, but I didn't feel in any way that this was a deceptive promo. I don't think that Mark or Penguin should be faulted. Try this trick out, Mr. Anonymous Reviewer... If you give it an honest shot, I'm sure you'll find that the reactions are well worth the money you paid for this.
Again, just my two cents. Mark, great product!
