When I first received the trick, it became clear very soon into the tutorial that the gimmicks are
unfinished. Even though there is some DIY and a little bit of assembly involved, the card box was
supposed to already have a feature that was missing. This feature is a MAJOR requirement just for
the trick to work. The card box was also missing a hole for the string. So were the small plastic
coin bags. The card box was also missing the adhesive strip to assemble the bottom flap. But this
and the missing holes are nothing compared to the major thing missing from the card box. Penguin
sent me a replacement. Guess what? The replacement is exactly the same defective set of missing
things as the original I received. I don't blame Penguin. I blame Smagic Productions. Someone
else posted a review here that they too received an incomplete gimmick and had to send the trick
back. So I'm assuming that someone at Smagic, or their subcontractor, screwed up big time and let
out a whole bunch of unfinished gimmicks. If so, that's a big, BIG problem. In that case, I feel
sorry for Penguin; they will have to issue a refund for every one of these that they sell, until
Smagic gets their act together.
I am adding to my own comment, just to set the record straight. When I received the trick, there was only 1 video, and that was a tutorial video. It began with the assembly of the fully constructed gimmick. What I received was not fully constructed. It was not until later that I was emailed a link to a second video, which showed how to complete the construction of the gimmick. So as of my original comments, I had an incomplete gimmick with no instructions on how to complete it. As of now, I am ready to go. Someone posted my original comments in a magician's online forum, and someone said that I MAY have done an injustice to the creator/seller. I do not see it that way, at least as of my original posting, where I had an unfinished gimmick and no instructions to complete it.
