This tricks works. The effect is easy to do though it does require a little practice (don't all
tricks?) and it is almost examinable. I say almost because the spectators can freely examine all the
cards save one. In the routine, they are left with a pretty strong sense that they have seen both
sides of all the cards (because they have) so they probably won't even ask. Chances are that even
if they did handle the gimmick, they wouldn't notice anything during a casual inspection. If they
bound and determined to find something, they could spot it but even with rudimentary audience
management, it should never come to that.
I am always surprised to see this effect on sale
because it's really pretty good.
