This is a great piece of magic. I have had the opportunity of seeing David perform it many times during his lecture. It's true that you will probably need a narrow frame, but even then it will take some getting used to when you hold out in this way.

All of the thoughts and ideas are great. I use my gimmick to hold Rubik's Cubes when I am not performing with a large bottle.
