I so love this effect, even so it is difficult! You will have several hurdles to surmount as you
attempt this effect Let me start by saying I have an iPhone 5S. This means, for me, and without a
case, I can encircle my phone with my thumb and middle without difficulty. If you cannot do so the
more dynamic animations with the card or rose appearing and disappearing in the shadow hand will be
beyond your reach, literally.
Tobias demonstrates and teaches this effect with a flip case.
As my first attempts with this effect did not have good angles I spent $10 online for a flip case.
Angles greatly improved, but then my learning curve on the dynamic shadow effects shot up
tremendously.
The other hurdles was trying to fit the gimmick to my hand. It's very sturdy,
which is good, but it does not lend itself to easy fitting and altering for your own physiology.
From my experience you will really have to work hard to add this effect to your repertoire.
Hopefully the above will help you in considering the time and effort you'll need before
investing in this effect.
