First off, this was a great lecture. Lots of great material and tips. Justin has been in the
industry a long time and is certainly well-seasoned. As a magician, I respect his knowledge and
creativity. As a person and teacher, I find him to be unbelievably arrogant. Half the lecture was
him just ripping apart everything in magic that he doesn't believe in. "I can't stand this, I can't
stand that". "If you lift up at the back of the deck to get a break, then you suck" type attitude.
There's a cockiness to his methodology that just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. He has probably the
biggest ego I've ever seen. Eric Ross had no reason to be there and I find the more people Justin is
around, the more he acts like a teenager. Honestly, it doesn't feel like he's talking to you, rather
talking at you.
I wish he would grow up.
However, if you like good tricks and you
can see past his arrogance, then you will enjoy this lecture.
And another thing, his constant remarks towards Acar Altinsel (Penguin Magic co-founder who's name is pronounced "Ajar") is really, really unprofessional. Whatever issues you have with other companies and suppliers doesn't need to be brought up during your lecture. You're such a low-class, has-been magician and I am retracting my recommendation for this lecture.
I give it zero stars for unprofessionalism and inappropriate language. I feel like I'm watching a disgruntled, drunken asshole talk trash about anything and anyone in magic who chooses to view magic differently than Justin "Cry Baby" Miller.
