I love this little trick! :) It's unique, organic, simple to do, and impressive to laymen.
When I watched the full presentation, I immediately figured it out. I think most magicians can
figure this one out. But we perform to impress laymen... and I think this one does it.
Are
there any sleights or moves? Yes. There are two moves you'll need to perform. But are very easy and
will require very little if any practice.
Is the performance like the demo? Yes. The video
is indeed edited to protect the method, but it's a good honest demo.
Impromptu? Arts &
Crafts? No. You'll need to prepare this... but it's nothing complicated at all. And you can reuse
your prepared work.
Is this a keeper? Yes. It's a fun trick. If you like coffee shop work,
this is a crowd-pleaser.
How's the teaching? As usual, Greg does a great job teaching. The
explanation didn't go needlessly long.
Any bonuses? No. But yes. There were no extra
tricks... HOWEVER, honestly this is the best part, Greg and Dave basically started giving tips, a
mini-course you could say, on their process of brainstorming and creating tricks. Honestly, this
section alone was worth the money you'll pay to learn this trick! It was gold.
I highly
recommend getting this trick. Not only will you get a seemingly impossible trick, you'll get a
little education on how to create your own tricks. I'm very happy with this trick. I give this 4.5
stars out of 5... 5 I generally save for mind melting tricks. Even though I could instantly see how
the trick was done (thus making me a little apprehensive to perform it... I just have to remind
myself that laymen don't watch as closely as magicians. It's a safe trick. It really is), I still
want to give it a little higher rating because of the seeming magicality of it.
4.5 out of
5... Get it! Great job, Greg and David!
By the way, I always try to be honest and
straightforward in my reviews, while being respectful to the magician. If you appreciate my reviews,
can you please click the "Yes" button below beside the question, "Did this review help you?" It's
not like I actually benefit in any way by your clicking it... but it would be nice to see if my
reviews are helpful or not. I hope they are. If you ever have suggestions or comments or questions
about my reviews, please feel free to leave me a constructive comment. I'm just trying to be
helpful. I love the Penguin community and hope that I can someday contribute my own product. :-)
Thanks for reading and for any (hopefully positive, but either way, at least kind) feedback.
