Magic Tricks

I bought these as VHS tapes in the 80’s and have enjoyed them immensely. As the previous reviewer stated not every effect can be used in every setting, but I have found a good many effects that have worked for me in a variety of performances. I still go back and work on different effects. Another plus are Scotty’s take on several sleights, in his case making them more reliable while using a deck in fairly bad condition from spills on the bar, etc. For me I found some of these changes useful when presented with a borrowed deck at a party that was less than good.

Scotty York was an engineer and his ideas are well thought out. Since he (like many of my favorite bar magicians) has passed on, these DVD’s will let you observe some wonderful history in the performance and thought in close-up magic!
