Not the most practical for close-up as the hookup requirements are somewhat iffy (depending on what
you want to do with this). Could be practical for a playing card flying out of the box. Not sure how
practical bottle movement is (hookup was rather difficult to do in real time for them in the
explanation video).
Unless the chair is made of hollow balsa, it won't knock a chair over
as they show near the end of the demo video. Not sure why they included that. It's strong but
nowhere near THAT strong!
The clear monofilament they use is NOT like invisible thread.
Great for stage; not so much for close-up IMHO.
I am using it in my stage show to knock
over a pile of things from across the stage on cue and without an assistant (I work solo). IT WORKS
LIKE A DREAM FOR ME! I am SO glad I found this mechanism. Just what I needed. Without this, I would
need an assistant to do the dirty work on cue.
Love it, love it, love it! But beware if you
want to use it up close with an audience.
