I love this effect too. Just to keep expectations realistic for folks new to this type of effect, I’ll just add that it may take a lot of practice to get this looking really smooth. First of all, you have to break in the deck a bit, and then you have to experiment with finger placement, timing and appropriate pressure to get the cards to do what they need to do, exactly when they need to do it. Scott Alexander put out a great DVD on his ID years ago that went into these things in depth, but Regal skips most of these technical points. Which is a shame, because I’m sure his advice would be helpful.
