Psionic will be familiar to those who have used the heavy recessed metal version of playing card blistering. This product, however, is made of plastic and yet appears durable, given the ease with which you can make the indentation of 1 of 5 ESP symbols on your thumb & on your index finger.
This is the weak area of Palter’s product; pressure placed on the plastic stamp where the ESP symbols reside, ends up by you having 2 symbols appearing; 1 on your thumb tip, the other on your index finger simultaneously.
You see, this is due to the structure where 2 symbols share the front and back of the plastic stamp respectively. Only one of the 5 symbols is relieved of that weakness and it is your choice to have it displayed on the thumb, or the index finger. Subsequently, you will have to hide that finger tip/thumb tip when the reveal comes into play.

Of course this is not a large problem due to the spectator incredulously staring at his or her thought of ESP symbol blistered by the kundalini coil of energy that is ultimately ‘raised’ on your preferred finger tip.
It is, after all, a simple execution of presenting the ESP symbol (chosen by the spectator) while the remaining fingers are curled inward.

Indeed, this will entertain both the mathematical/skeptical type who cannot fathom this bizarre revelation and the manner of your finger emphasis, as well as you coming across as a bonafide mystic as experienced by romantic/fanciful type.
This weak point could have been rectified by having molded a longer strip of plastic that would hold the symbols separately, in a line-up fashion.

Palter’s dry and somewhat uninspiring teaching style is something you have to tolerate because he is certainly thorough, but does not know his metaphysical subject; from the 3rd eye location and function, which has been designated by Western thinking as the pineal gland, referred to as the ‘ajna’ in Yogic nomenclature, to the date of J.B. Rhine’s first experiment at Duke University, which was developed in 1929 and initially had over 70 symbols.
This psychic alphabet, so to speak, was soon to be reduced to the 5 symbols that many are familiar with, and belonged to the artistic hand-style of the inventor, Karl Zenner.

This can become a miracle in the hands of a capable mentalist who presents himself with the power of extrasensory perception and clairvoyance. It is worth the lowered, and generous Penguin asking price.
