None of the material presented within this pamphlet is original to Eric Stevens. Worse than that; he
doesn't seem to be able to give credit where it is due. Anybody who has spent any amount of time
with the props involved would have known every principle that has been presented here. This is an
amalgamation of a few basic principles for a standard prop. Finally, my personal opinion is that the
structure of the effect is such that the final phase negates the power of those that came before it;
this weak structure takes away from the effect in total.
To be fair I credit everybody that inspired how I structured things in the back of the book, including where the concept for the prop originally came from. I also state more than once that most of the handling isn't original with me, and that what you are getting is more of a presentation than anything else. I also have two handlings included for the prop itself, one from a friend of mine as a closer and the other as a very original (as far as my research has shown) way of using the prop that takes people very much by surprise. I respect your thoughts as a consumer, but please also know that I have worked this routine in this way all over the world for laypeople and magicians and it ALWAYS gets a great reaction. Just ask Jeff McBride, Jay Scott Berry, Losander and Michael Ammar, all of whom I fooled with it when we worked together. I do my best not to put out crap, and based on my experience this routine doesn't qualify as such. I sincerely hope that you check out my other products and hopefully find something that fits your style better.
