This great trick by Tango is easiest to perform using poker chips due to the thickness of the chips.
I prefer to use real coins (i.e. US half dollars) in all of my coin magic because I have smaller
hands. However, I finally have a perfect use for my silver US dollars due to the thickness of these
coins being very close to real poker chips.
It DOES take a certain "feel" when sliding
your pinky finger across the table when connecting the stack in order to get the marked coin/chip to
move through each of the 4 positions. I was frustrated for about 10 minutes and almost gave up,
until all of a sudden, I got the knack for it. So what I'm saying is to give this trick some time -
you WILL get the "feel" for it and then it will work for you 100% of the time. Just like learning to
ride a bicycle...
My audiences of all ages keep asking me to do it over and over again and
since there is NO setup and NO reset and since you finish CLEAN every time, you can keep performing
it until the audience gives up wagging their heads, completely astonished. It's one of my favorite
coin "quickies".
