I like this one, although I found the instruction a little difficult to follow because of the heavy
accent. Still, it came through fine.
But that is not the principal reason I gave this
effect only 4 stars out of 5. The principal reason is that it's very difficult to control the
spectator remotely, and this means there is a risk that the effect might miss occasionally. There is
a real risk the spectator might not cut the deck where the performer would like him to. But that's
mentalism. It is never a perfect art when executed in real time. And so it should be. We are
creating the illusion of reading someone's mind, after all.
It's bold, but well worth the
risk when you hit the mark. And in this day of remote performances, finding effects we can perform
remotely, where the magic happens in the spectators hands, is a treat. Highly recommended if you are
a true mentalist willing to take the occasional risk to create a bona fide a miracle.
