This completely impromptu gravity illusion can be done with a borrowed deck, and it is a fantastic
opener for your routine, or for that one situation when someone asks you to show a quick trick.
The only thing which I did not like was a particular move in the tutorial is not properly
explained. I had to reach out to other users and talk with them privately to figure out how to do
the move.
In the end I even invented a different method of that particular move as I could
not achieve the desired result by Dario's method.
And even now, 6 months after buying the
trick and performing it casually, I cannot do the trick perfectly without an occasional fumble or a
screw up.
The move that I am talking about is an outjog, and saying it I believe will not
reveal anything about the method, but I feel it is important for Dario to know exactly which move I
am talking about if he wishes to do anything about improving the tutorial.
Also, it took me
a good while to figure out a good presentation as Dario does not offer any in the tutorial. And I do
not mean patter, but presentation in a sense of I would show the trick to the spectator but they
would not bat an eye because they did not realize they saw an impossible moment.
On the
other hand, the lack of any presentation in the tutorial is also a good thing as it will force the
student to come up with their own version, thus becoming a better magician in the process.
