I've had these for a month now, and have compared them to a few of the "premium" decks I've
purchased. (I needed a point of comparison, being a newbie and all).
The stock is similar
to Bees as is the finish. I prefer the thicker stock as they hold up better. The finish feels
wonderful in the hand. I personally don't see a need for prepping the deck for use as the slight
rough edges allow me to feel the individual cards a little more, but then I'm also new to card
magic/mechanics. I also find that it takes longer for them to become clumpy when flourishing versus
standard Bikes. The price is also right. They're less expensive than buying standard bikes at your
local big box store (Wal-mart, Target). Right now I beat up the standards, and then transition to
these for flourishes once I've gotten the technique down. I would recommend practicing your table
and non-table faros. These are tied with Bees IMHO. They have the feel that I'm finding I really
like.
