I own a few hundreds of decks but have never felt anything comparable. Maybe it`s the stock combined with the high amount of ink on the backs?! The box is made of paper material 'stamped' to feel like a leather surface (and it does). Definitly recommended to feel/collect, just beware that the faces except the ace of spades are Bicycle Standard - which in this case doesn't bother me.
