When you're a warm, engaging, elderly man like Jack, you can get away with a lot with an audience.
He's like everybody's grandpa. But these recording are for people who are looking to learn, and
that's where it fails miserably. The effects are weak and poorly performed. As another reviewer
mentioned, it's long on anecdotes and talk without any value to the budding mentalist. Admittedly,
Jack wasn't in the best of health necessitating Dan Harlan to explain methods and effects that were
unclear.
I get it. To some mentalists he's a legend, and maybe this was an off day, but as far
as a learning tool, which is all this should be reviewed for, not for reputation or past
performance, your money is better spent elsewhere.
