On a scale from 1 (rank newbie) to 10 (pro) put me at a 3. I'm using the Kennedy half dollar
version.
Joshua's video explicitly does point out that these can make noise (clicks) so he
doesn't recommend performing in a silent setting. I concur. However, I have found that the
production handling can be done fairly quietly with practice. The disappearing end does result in
clicks.
As a newer magician, I found these very easy to use at a basic level, but recommend
lots of practice to make all of the effects smoother. These are good enough that clumsy handling can
easily pull off the effects in the accompanying video. But if you put in the time to get the
handling smoother this set really produces awesome effects!
As my first purchase of this
typic of gimmick I've found it trivial to some simpler sleights. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend
these to a fellow dilettante as a great introduction to this type of equipment.
