Adam Christing is a nice, likable guy. But this two-hour lecture was very disappointing to me. I
don't suffer from insomnia, but if I did, I would watch this again, and I'm sure I would fall asleep
in a minute. I find it surprising that companies would be happy with his bland motivational advice
and his lackluster magic, but apparently they do. Maybe it's just me. This presentation might be
acceptable for young magicians who have had no experience in front of an audience. Hence, I give it
what I feel is a generous 3-Stars rating.
I might add that I've been a fan of Dan Harlan
for years. He's a wonderful magician and entertainer. He does an excellent job as host of Penguin
lectures. He always presents a lecture with hype and enthusiasm. To do so with Mr Christing must
have taken all the energy he could muster to sell the act. Speaking of selling, this presentation to
me was not only an attempt to motivate and entertain (which it didn't for me), but it went a little
far as an attempt to sell books and products.
Hi Jerry...
It's me Adam. I'm really sorry you didn't like the lecture too much.
But glad it saved you some dough on Melatonin : )
Also, I agree with your comments on Dan Harlan. He is brilliant.
All best, Adam Christing
PS The Zoom card trick I showed at the end IS killer in my experience with corporate groups. Also, if I remember, only one of the books I recommended at the end is mine for sale. It was more a "For Further Reading" kind of thing. I was just trying to be helpful there. Promise.
