The subtle contrast between the black and brown-black pips exemplifies this deck's perfectly
executed feel. The artwork masterfully achieves the intended thematic effect through ornate but
quiet embellishments. The court cards are colored in a palette of gorgeous earth tones, but their
faces are hilariously wry in their comical restraint as all the graphics abide within the boundaries
of a standard deck. I am moved by how the Brothers Buck have created such an elaborately conceived
emblem of their bond which they here express as an harmoniously unified twinship. The stock feels as
beautifully as advertised and the deck exactly serves the formal and familiar purposes that they put
forth. Given how naturally successful this deck's design feels, I wonder if perhaps this might be
Dan and Dave's most personal expression of beauty.
