As expected from the master, all in all this a pretty good trick for online meetings and such.
Unlike other 'zoomish' tricks, there is minimal procedure for participants to screw up.
Unfortunately it's not particularly difficult to mentally backtrack to the method, especially for
those familiar with similar "self-working" effects. (I got it just from seeing it performed.)
That said, this simplicity emphasizes the necessity (as with ANY effect) of proper misdirection
-- the 'fooling' needs to be done with timing, scripting, etc. Don't just talk them through the
steps and expect them to be amazed... while Dan mentions this, there could have been a LOT more
teaching including examples. Perhaps fodder for the 'discussion' forum?
Finally, had I
known the origin I would have purchased the original source instead. I probably will anyway, but it
would have been $10 cheaper.
(From the original poster) - I was a bit harsh when I wrote the review, I really want to give this FOUR STARS. I still think it needs more misdirection instruction, but in the end it's a good trick and I will use it.
