I'm studying all of Eugene's work, and feel blessed to be able to do so. This, I hoped/thought,
would be his "master work".
The four stars, rather than 5, has less to do with my expectation
(which, to some extent was met) and more to do with the layout of the book.
I love and
appreciate the work and love that Mr Hass put into this book. I'm not a fan of how the information
was presented. I did not buy this for the methodology behind the effects, yet I wished more
detail/better illustrations were presented. Elements of each piece (mostly method) were sped
through, which made the reading experience confusing, and less-tham pleasant.
In my
opinion, The Performance of Close Up Magic got the philosophical points, as well as the delightful
(and POWERFUL) pieces across better. Nonetheless, I am hopeful for Final Secrets.
A terrific book, but.
