Yes, Wakeman is not the most dynamic teacher on this DVD, but he IS a good, clear teacher, offering
many tips as he demonstrates several effective passes. Emphasizing variations on the Hermann pass,
he does a great job, showing a good variety of skills.
My only real complaint -- it's why
I don't give this DVD a 5, and it's a BIG complaint I have with most DVDs focusing on a single move
like this one -- is that you can't perform the routines offered until you MASTER the pass. Unless
you can perform several passes while inviting people to watch your hands (rather than trying to
cover the pass), the routines are worthless. Instead, I would have preferred to see some routines
where the pass is a critical but not the ONLY move required for success.
Otherwise, an
excellent exploration of an undervalued move.
