The pros are a little suspicious and cheap. They also don’t really look like anything but the method and routine are clever

This is an uninformed opinion. If anything pros look at much more than just the method and script, they look at the overall effect, it's performability, and how it plays to a real live audience, how it'll play theatrically, and how it fits into their show, among many other aspects.

Pros are typically willing to spend much more for good material than on-pros.
