This is better and easier than I expected. I know anything Mr. Spidey does, teaches, or promotes is
alway great. This will be fun to learn and perform. This is probably the first time I performed
without my hands shaking. Thank you. BTW I bought this from another company, a friend of Spidey's.
They have a show on Youtube (ALL Access Magic) I'm not trying to promote but I want you to know that
I do actually have this. I would have bought it here but I saw it there first. I will definitely
need to get more because I WILL use these. :)
The comment about performing with your hands shaking really hits home. It's always reassuring to hear others have this issue too. I've had my eye on this one and your comment likely will push this into the buy column for me!
Cool, if you have ever noticed... I was watching Penn and Teller and we are too busy focusing on the great magic performances... BUT if you only pay attention to their hands, they are shaking too... Which makes me feel a little bit better too, because these guys are way better than me. :)
I thought my hands would really be shaking when it came to having to draw the reveal. Spidey even teaches you how he draws them & really simplifies the process. I feel confident now, with just a little practice, that I can draw the reveals instead of vocalizing them. The drawings definitely give this a stronger effect.
I have noticed that on Fool Us as well about hands shaking with some of the acts and it has made me feel better as well to know I'm not alone with that.
Cool, you guys are great. I appreciate your comments because it's very comforting to hear how we all day with the same nerves. I didn't even think about how Mr. Spideys teachings do help out alot as well.
I 2nd the last statement! I suffer from major anxiety and have been unable to perform sleights in front of people after practicing a thousand times and your original comment also comforted me and will be a factor in my adding to the buy cart. It would be great if there was a forum, book or lecture about this. I guess its just a "stage fright" kind of thing. I dont' have a mentor and wish I did. A virtual mentor for magic would be great. Sorry for the tangent.
Do not worry joncole818. I'm really honest. I was re-studying his video last night. He teaches so much, you will be at ease and can perform so many different ways with this. (and it's true- I do not get nervous with this)
- I saw one Magician say, "When you are trying to remember something, don't tell them that, instead that time and motion of "remembering", TO THEM, appears as if you are reading their mind at that moment." Use it to your advantage.
-Keep studying and practicing and things will get better. I am by no means a professional. I consider myself the worst magician lol but I keep trying to listen to the professionals and they all agree that they all get nervous.
-I think Mr. Roberto Giobbi mentioned somewhere about using that nervous energy, it's actually excitement, and using it.
-Think of it as a positive instead of a negative. If you think about it you are about to perform a "miracle" for them.
-Sometimes when I "complete an effect, my hands are shaking and I say "look what happened! I was able to read your mind but it does effect me physically." -People freak out like "wow, you really are doing something out of the ordinary!
-Before, I probably would have said "I'm sorry, I'm very nervous about messing up." lol
-Another thing i've started with is a trick where they do everything, do as I do, or imp pad and that way you have nothing to fear. The work has been done, and the people are already comfortable.
