The description says “shuffled deck” and “no sleight of hand”. Neither is really accurate. The deck
is NOT shuffled! Only half of the deck can be shuffled, and the trick/fake shuffles needed to make
it appear as if the full deck were being shuffled are _not_ simple for a layperson. They’re beyond
my meager talents, at least, which makes this trick basically not performable if my viewers are
paying any attention at all. So, for me, a dead waste of $9.95.
Hi Mark, I am sorry you feel that way. Do you consider the shuffle (which again, is real) a sleight? I don't. Keep in mind that you can start the trick without the shuffle anyway. It is still fooling in my opinion. The first spectator will shuffle their packet anyway. Anyway, I respect your opinion. Kind regards, Nikolas.
I don't consider an actual shuffle a "sleight", but that's not the problem.
First, the two halves must be kept separate, so no full shuffle is possible.
THEN at 8:10 into the Learn video you say specifically that one pack cannot be shuffled at all, and you demonstrate ways to do "false shuffles" (in lieu of the allowed cuts). These are the trickier moves I struggle to make convincing.
The second pack CAN be shuffled, of course. Which I said - "Only half of the deck can be shuffled".
