First... heads up that that the product listing says the lecture includes Reswindled Again,
Sleightless Sightless and Out Of This Packet. Those are NOT covered in this lecture. Penguin
really should fix this. But I'm not knocking off a star, because the lecture is quite good and
includes four other things (plus a performance of a fifth item) not mentioned in the description.
Here's what's included:
Find Three Kings + Sly Cheese
Corner
Humming Words
In Your Face Transpo + Mercury Card Load
multi-stage coin routine
Convergence
performance only of Over The Top
Courtesy Flush
Creation
Noteworthy: the only
trick repeated between this lecture and his first Penguin Live lecture is Over The Top. That one is
fully taught in the Penguin Live lecture, while the version performed here (without explanation) is
a different variation of the trick. In some ways the one here is stronger, and you can probably
work out the setup between the explanation of the Penguin Live version and the performance of this
one.
The coin routine here is several tricks combined into a multi-phase routine. The
full set is along the lines of his Shades Of Silver and Bluffed Across, plus Gary Jones' 3Fly Plus.
(He gives full credit to Jones and mentions that Jones gave him permission to demonstrate the trick
here.) It includes two full performances and makes up 28 minutes of the total lecture.
He does trip himself up a bit in the explanation of Convergence, and Greg Wilson isn't exactly
helpful there. If you want another source for it, it's also part of the Ultimate Self Working Card
Tricks Volume 2 set from BBM as well as a bonus trick on his Annihilation Deck DVD/download.
Overall this one is great when paired with his first Penguin Live lecture. This one has the big
coin routine. That one has the copper-silver-ring transpo. For business card effects, this one has
Humming Words, and the Penguin Live lecture has COAT. For visual effects using card boxes, he
covers his Mercury Card Load here, while he starts the Penguin lecture with a Sharpie production
from a card box. For his lesser known (but strong) packet tricks, Courtesy Flush is here, while
Distinguished is in the Penguin Live lecture. Corner is here, Exposure is there. Convergence is
here, Red Hot Prediction is there, etc. Each lecture is good, and together they are even better.
