This is clever and simple -- and, yet, at the same time, an absolute theft of whatever you pay for
this.
The real problem is that you need "something extra," and you'll never guess it in a
million years until you've sunk your money into this scam.
I'm all for creative marketing,
and I'll accept a lot of poetic license, but this stretches beyond any level of acceptability.
For example, if I told you that you have to start wearing the hat he's wearing in the promo/ad,
you might think, "What?? I'm supposed to start wearing a hat just so I can do a $%^&@^ rubber band
trick?" Or, if I told you that you have to buy and wear a shirt like the one he's wearing, you might
say, "That's absurd! That's great for people who wear that shirt, but why would I be expected to
dress in a certain way, just so I can work with a rubber band??"
And the good news is, you
don't have to start wearing his hat. Or his shirt. But you do have to dress like him, at least a
little bit. I can't believe that what I've had to write here is true, but it actually is.
Shame on you, Penguin. You too, Dan.
