My Arrival arrived today is a cardboard shipping box, as expected.
Upon opening, the
decorated box was inside, and inside that were the silk and the tie. No, not presented like in the
video, just thrown in.
I believe the silk will serve me well. But at this price point, i
expected way more from the presentation box. The box is thin and cheap, i can see white edges of
the paper folds.
The the box top was compressed and concave enough to notice. Essentially,
it is discardable.
I was expecting a much stiffer box without the cheap edges.
There is a business vard sized paper inside with a link for instructions. It is paper, not
business card stock
So, the conte ts seem fine, i hope they do not wear quickly.
The video is great!
Do you buy magic products in order to appreciate their packaging?
consider collecting nice boxes instead of magic.
Is a box part of the trick? I appreciate a good package but I need to know if it’s the only concern you have
Wow, am I missing something? Who cares about the damn box?
As essentially everyone knows, David Regal is a famed collector and connoisseur of paper packaging and boxes. It's also a well known fact (see his cover story in Paper and Packaging Digest June 2011) that Regal is a degreed paper engineer, and he's revered as a master craftsman of cardboard.
How is it possible that Regal could have done this to you, knowing full well of his unmatched pedigree for not only prestidigitation, but also for paper and packaging?
Sir you have been wronged...and not you alone. This is a stain on the entire magic community. I think in these troubled times, all of us could understand how you may have received a box that
had white edges you could see, but at a minimum, was at least luxurious and sturdy? Or we could perhaps even accept you receiving a box that is thin, but having at least edges that show NO white paper folds? But...I...nor should any of our fellow magic purchasers, accept that a magic creator supplied you with a box that is both parts thin AND has edges that reveal white paper folds!
I plead you not find this too forward, but I have taken it upon myself to contact legal counsel on your behalf. I am pleased to report this shall perhaps be, the end of Regal. Upon hearing of your plight and the discardable box you were callously and thoughtlessly supplied with, my esteemed attorney assured me you have an excellent case and that he would be honored to represent you. Please find below, his exact response.
“This is totally inappropriate. It’s lewd, lascivious, salacious, outrageous...I am shocked and chagrined, mortified and stupefied." - Jackie Chiles.
Please contact Jackie at your earliest convenience and best wishes from all of us in the magic community for the justice you so deserve!
@penguinmagictrick
Love your humour, not so sure that many will get the reference , and hopefully this gentleman doesn’t settle for his pic on a giant sign in the city !

"If the box does not fit, you must acquit!"
-J. Chiles
"This is the most public yet of my many humiliations!"
- J. Chiles
Also giving a product review and talking almost entirely about the packaging and not the actual product and how it functions is ridiculous but thanks to @penguinmagictrick's response I'm really glad you did.
Maybe you could write-off the packaging. Big companies do it all the time. You don't even know what a write-off is.
Again with the Seinfeld reference.
I’d be happy to take the trick off your hands!
Some people are magic collectors and would certainly prefer nicer packaging when spending $45. Props that cost less have been in nicer packaging. But we can know that nicer packaging would nibble on that profit margin. As this product was made in China and the creators that have their props manufactured there are seeking the MOST profit.
Have you taken in mind how it might have been thrown around in shipping?
