If you're just beginning in Dove Magic, you should definitely consider this super package from Andy Amyx. Essentially, you are getting - along with the very good instructional DVD - one of each of the two critical gimmicks a Dove-Worker requires; being: 1 Invisible Dove Harness (for bare-hand dove productions), and, 1 Dove Bag (used for making steals from the body, table, or container; and most often used for the classic: 'Dove From Silk' production.). Andy also supplies with 2 of his excellent Lightweight Dove Pockets in which safely hold your harnessed or bagged doves to be produced. The only reason I gave this package 4/5 Stars - and not 5/5 Stars - is two-fold: 1) The package supplies you with 2 of the Lightweight Dove Pockets - which are fine for the Dove Bag - but; not really so fine for the Invisible Harness (as the bird's claws are exposed as can 'grab/pierce' through the material. causing your jacket to jerk at the critical moment); and instead, you should be getting 1 Lightweight Dove Pocket to go with the Dove Bag, and, 1 Heavyweight Pocket to go with the Invisible Dove Harness - not 2 Lightweights. So, if you want to do the IDH Production properly, you'll really need to buy an additional Heavy Weight Dove Pocket from Andy and use that for the IDH Production (or, modify the 2nd Lightweight Dove Pocket to make it more fool-proof for the IDH Production.) AND, 2) Andy's one-handed release method/system for opening his Dove Bag is cool and unique; and, while some people absolutely love it, it is not going be loved by each and every Dove Worker universally (that's why we have so many different release method/systems out there - it's a BIG personal choice amongst Magicians, which can also be 'effect dependent' in terms of suitability for what you are trying to do.). Bottom-line is that no one has the singularly best Dove Bag/Release method for everyone and every effect, so you may or may not love Andy's - no way to tell until you make a few dozen productions with it. With that proviso in mind, and, the fact that you are not getting the ideal mix of AA Dove Pockets types, this is a fantastic way to get your feet wet and get going in Dove Magic FAST. I only wish they had something like the Andy Amyx Doves 101 Starter Kit and DVD - and, at Penguin Discount Prices!!! - when I was starting out with Dove Magic back in the late 1970s!
