These are a heavily underrated prop which can be used for some
superior mentalism routines.
Anything number related, you can 100% make use of these.
Strengths:
- You can really
force the number 1-6. If you need to force the same number twice, you will need a second set. You
can force 2 numbers at the same time, using two spectators.
- No matter what angle the
spectator(s) LOOK at the dice from, they won't detect the method.
- The dice look and feel
like regular dice. They are basically regular dice that don't react to magnets, metal or anything
the like.
You will need to find a work around for:
- Prop handling. Your
participant cannot inspect the die too closely. If you can manage them by asking them to ROLL the
die instead of "examine" them, you may avoid this issue. Or, you can have the gimmick hidden amongst
several ungimmicked die.
- Luck and time. This is luck based, but sometimes you won't be
able to get to your force number immediately. On average, you will need to roll each die about 12
times to achieve your force number. This may seem like a lot, but if you present the effect over a
"slow burn" presentation, you will have more impact than using magnetic die.
Summary:
Worth the price point and worth holding onto. You cannot find another "set" like this one.
Even if you don't use them immediately, you will eventually think of a very smart application for
them.
